you know after this american elections, i'm thinking actually i'm quite interested in political stuff. like if i could choose now, i would rather do a study into the key differences between Obama and McCain's Healthcard policies, and do a detailed analysis, than to mug my medical stuff for 2 hrs.
Many people support Obama, but i can't really say who i support, because mainly, i don't even know what are the key differences between Obama and McCain. i tried reading about Obama's policies on his website but can't really remember much about it. and i don't really comprehend the USA healthcare insurance policy enough to make a reasonable judgement.
But reading the news, and watching the final debate between the candidates, i support Obama because he is definitely something different, a change, and i think America is in dire need of one. He seems to bring a breath of fresh air, new hope to a nation that is suffering from the effects of 2 long drawn wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and various other badly planned policies.
I think Obama is an intelligent man who knows how to handle the various problems that would come America's way. McCain on the other hand, I don't see him as someone with enough political acquity to solve the longstanding problem of healthcare and education in America. Again, this is just based on impression. Obama definitely speaks so much better than McCain, but i don't think it's just beacuse he's charismatic, i think he's able to think quick on his feet and address the issues at hand.
Watching McCain during the debate, i didn't really like how he talked about issues. His criticism of Obama weren't very convincing and sometimes it appeared like he says those things to sidetrack the topic at hand.
i look forward to see how Obama will handle Iraq.
I wonder whether i will ever go into politics, but singapore politics really quite sian. In parliament, we argue about whether girls can dance on bar tops and stuff like that. haha ok la we got talk about healthcare and transport and important stuff too.
These are exciting times to be an American i think. Too bad i ain't one. haha.
